frequently asked questions

CHAIN type

For most chains, we utilize gold-filled and sterling silver chains for permanent jewelry.

Gold-filled chain includes a base metal core and a thick coat of gold - this is more gold than plated chain but not as much as solid gold. Gold filled will not tarnish or turn.

Enamel chain will have brightly colored pieces and are most likely plated - this will be disclosed to you prior to purchase, and enamel chain is priced accordingly. Think of these chains as "seasonal" chains that will last months instead of years.

cleaning

Permanent jewelry is a low-maintenance way to accessorize. Because we use high-quality gold-filled and sterling silver chain, your item will stay bright and shiny with minimal upkeep.

Washing your item with soap and water while showering or washing your hands is an easy way to keep your chain shiny. Each purchase also comes with a free cleaning kit, including a polishing cloth and a small sample of Shinery - a skin friendly jewelry cleaning solution.

travel

Traveling with your permanent jewelry has never been easier. Just like regular jewelry, there is no reason to remove your jewelry when traveling through TSA.

Our family travels by air a good amount, and I've never been stopped or asked to remove my jewelry.

medical

Should you need to remove your jewelry for a medical procedure, please clip your jewelry off at the small welded jump ring.

Reattaching a chain is a complimentary service offered for anyone who purchases from me.

normal wear

The term "permanent jewelry" refers to the welded nature of the jewelry, as there is no clasp for removal.

It does not mean that the jewelry is indestructible - the chains utilized will break with enough pressure for safety.

You are encouraged to evaluate your own lifestyle to determine if permanent jewelry is right for you. Refunds and exchanges are not given due to the custom nature of the experience, however we will work with you to find the right chain for your lifestyle.

removal

Need to remove your jewelry? No problem! Take a small pair of wire cutters or strong scissors and clip the small jump ring used to weld your jewelry.

Make sure you hang on to the chain! We'll reattach your jewelry for free - just make an appointment with us!

safety

One of the biggest concerns for permanent jewelry is safety, as the chain is welded together onto a wrist, neck, or ankle. It is imperative that the chains utilized will have a break point with enough pressure - this keeps our clients safe in an emergency should the chain get caught or hung on something.

I choose fine and dainty chains to ensure that there is no potential for a chain getting hung or pulled, causing harm to the wrist, neck, or ankle. The jump ring used to weld is also a break point for this jewelry and is expected to break with enough pressure.

I do not recommend permanent jewelry for children, as they are still growing and are active.

guarantee

Because of the custom nature of permanent jewelry, no refunds or exchanges are provided for broken or lost jewelry.

However, I am happy to reattach any jewelry and/or move jewelry. You got an anklet, but want it as a bracelet instead? No problem! I'm happy to move it for you.

Should you lose your bracelet, I offer a 20% off discount to replace your jewelry.
